Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is a musician, singer and actress of her native United States. Ashanti became famous as an 18-year-old and was signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which were huge hits. The songs of Ja Rule include Foolish (number 1) as well as How's Luv! at number two. Let's celebrate this momentous occasion by celebrating it together. Ashanti was an actor in the child stage on Spike Lee's Malcolm X and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? Also, Ashanti appeared in a few music videos, including 8-Off Ghettogirl as well as K.R.S. Act One MC's The People You've Never Even Met. The career of Ashanti as a musician was hampered due to her lack of commercial success following her being approached by record companies like Bad Boy and Jive. Even though she was not getting any major breaks however, she continued to play in New York. Ashanti sang as the backing vocalist to Big Pun's How We Roll. She was also featured on the Fat Joe's song"What's Luv?" Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's What's Luv! The debut single Foolish features a sample taken from DeBarge's song Stay With Me. Her debut self-titled album was released by Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. on the label in 2002. The Declaration the fourth studio album was released on June 3 2008. On October 16 Hey Baby (After the Club) was made available to the radio and online outlets. She appeared in the Christmas in the City film and also played Latasha in Army Wives. Aitch is a British artist, took a sample of her song Rock wit U for Baby on March 10, 2022.
