Ashanti Douglas, popularly called Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is a musician, singer and actress of her native United States. Ashanti became famous as an 18-year-old and was signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which were huge hits.
